The members of GEYSER Scientific & Production Co. attended the International Satellite Navigation Forum, which was held on April 9-10, 2007. Sergey V. Makov, head of Dispatching Control Systems and User Terminals Department, made a report on Coupole Automated Information Monitoring and Dispatching Control System in the “Navigation and Communication Equipment Development & Manufacture” Section. The report covers the specific features of the Coupole system design and operation. The system is designed for vehicle automated monitoring, location and state control with the use of signals coming from global navigation satellite systems (GLONASS, Navstar) and standard communication channels (satellite, trunking, VHF, GSM, CDMA cellular channels). The report also presents the characteristics of various user navigation and communication equipment based on cellular technologies of data transfer (GPRS, SMS, CSD), as well as the specific features of their serial production and implementation.
